To anchor this new phase of growth, the company plans to invest up to ₹3,500 crore to build specialized AI data centers capable of scaling to a capacity of 50 megawatt. This infrastructure push will be executed through a newly formed subsidiary and its corresponding step-down entities.

India currently represents one of the most dynamic technology landscapes in the world. Driven by data localization laws, an expanding digital economy, and the urgent need for intense GPU processing power to handle AI training and inference, the nation’s data center ecosystem is poised for massive acceleration. Industry experts project that India’s total data center capacity will jump from its current 1.8 gigawatt to somewhere between 5 and 7 gigawatt by the year 2030, with AI-optimized facilities representing a major share of that expansion.
HCLTech aims to position itself at the very center of this massive transformation.
