Navigating large amounts of enterprise data is getting much simpler thanks to a fresh release from Intersystems. The data technology provider recently launched InterSystems Data Studio AI Assistant, a generative AI extension designed to help companies query, analyze, and map out their information using plain everyday language.

Many businesses moving AI projects into production face a major roadblock: accessing reliable and up-to-date information. Because company data is frequently scattered across various cloud services, databases, files, and isolated department systems, getting dependable answers often proves difficult for both human teams and AI models.

InterSystems aims to solve this problem by connecting generative capabilities straight to the source. “Organizations are increasingly looking for ways to turn their data into actionable intelligence without adding complexity,” said Scott Gnau, Senior Vice President, Data Platforms at InterSystems. “InterSystems Data Studio AI Assistant brings generative AI directly to a trusted data foundation, enabling users to interact with information more naturally while maintaining the governance, security, and controls enterprises require.”

Rather than forcing companies to stitch together multiple standalone software solutions, this tool is built directly inside the existing InterSystems Data Studio platform. That setup allows organizations to establish a single, unified layer of information that stays consistent whether it is accessed by employees, analytics dashboards, or automated applications.

Offered as an add-on managed service, the tool features interactive helpers and pre-configured agents capable of diving into structured and unstructured data alike. Teams can use it to pinpoint valuable data assets, build automated charts, and speed up overall research. Furthermore, a customizable multi-agent structure lets companies tailor specialized assistants to fit their precise operational goals.
