Google Cloud has introduced Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, a specialized artificial intelligence solution engineered to streamline complex workflows across capital markets and corporate banking. The new product includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 specialized skills for financial roles, and enterprise connectors linking directly to market data and regulatory sources.

Available initially in preview, the platform aims to give institutions a competitive edge by replacing slow, manual research with automated agentic AI workflows. It is built to address strict industry regulatory demands while offering full data explainability, confidence scores, and source citations for easy auditing.

“Financial professionals are looking for an AI platform that doesn’t lock them into any one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems they use every day, and is highly secure and compliant,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud. “With Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, we are delivering exactly that—agentic capabilities for financial workflows, built with verifiable data explainability, so institutions can turn AI innovation into a confident competitive advantage.”

Major global institutions are already using the technology. CME Group and Deutsche Bank have adopted the platform, with Deutsche Bank acting as a key design partner to help tailor its capabilities around banking compliance and data residency. Additional early adopters include BNY, Citi Wealth, Lloyds Banking Group, Macquarie Bank, and Signal Iduna.

The software helps relationship managers elevate client insights, accelerates Know Your Customer research, and speeds up bond issuance pitches from days to minutes. Analysts can also analyze bond portfolios during sudden market shocks in under five minutes. It operates natively alongside tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, allowing users to export research directly into standard spreadsheets and presentation slides.

Google Cloud is also relying on an extensive network of partners. Financial institutions can integrate specialized third-party tools from vendors like PitchBook, Moody’s, and S&P Global, or collaborate with systems integrators like Accenture, Deloitte, and PwC for custom setups.

The launch marks one of the first industry-specific packages built on the core Google Cloud architecture, with a similar solution tailored for the legal sector also debuting today. As institutions face mounting pressure to accelerate decision-making without compromising security, its clear that specialized AI agents will play a prominent role in the future of modern finance.
