Aether Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHR) announced a major expansion of its technology ecosystem today, officially entering the artificial intelligence infrastructure sector. The company has launched Aether Compute, a new business initiative dedicated to modular data center solutions, alongside a comprehensive strategic partnership and equity investment in containerized technology developer Virtual Grid Inc.

The expansion targets the infrastructure layer of the rapidly growing AI economy. As deep learning and high-performance computing applications continue to accelerate globally, enterprises face significant bottlenecks in securing traditional data center space. Aether Compute aims to resolve these constraints by delivering deployment-ready modules that combine critical hardware, cooling, and management systems into flexible units.

As its flagship product rollout, the company unveiled the AetherPod™ VG100. Developed in collaboration with Virtual Grid, the AetherPod™ VG100 integrates compute-ready racks, power distribution, climate control, and infrastructure management software into a single modular platform. Equipped with software-defined orchestration capabilities, the system allows organizations to scale up workloads remotely and deploy compute capacity efficiently across distributed environments.

To secure a strong market position, Aether has entered into a long-term commercial agreement granting the company exclusive licensing and distribution rights for Virtual Grid technologies across Southeast Asian markets, alongside non-exclusive commercial rights within the United States. To reinforce the alignment between the two entities, Aether has also made a minority equity investment in Virtual Grid, binding the companies together for future product development and joint go-to-market initiatives.

“AI is creating tremendous demand for compute capacity, but accessing and deploying the infrastructure needed to support that growth remains a challenge for organizations around the world,” said Nicolas Lin, Chief Executive Officer of Aether. “We believe modular infrastructure can play an important role in addressing that need by providing a more flexible and scalable approach to deploying compute capacity.”

Lin emphasized that the initiative establishes a firm foundation for the company. “The launch of Aether Compute represents our entry into this growing segment of the AI economy. With AetherPod™ VG100 as our first product initiative and Virtual Grid as our strategic technology partner, we now have a foundation from which to pursue commercial opportunities in Southeast Asia and the United States and expand our presence within the broader AI infrastructure ecosystem.”

The partnership leverages Virtual Grid’s specialized experience in containerized compute modules and energy integration, pairing it with Aether’s corporate platform and established regional market access.

John Hawes, Chief Operating Officer of Virtual Grid, expressed strong optimism for the joint venture. “We believe quickly deployable modular compute infrastructure can help address the growing need for scalable, flexible AI-ready capacity,” Hawes stated. “Aether’s commercial platform and market access make it a strong partner as we work together to advance joint product development, commercialization and go-to-market efforts.”

Moving forward, Aether Compute plans to expand its operational footprint by offering infrastructure design, specialized deployment services, and additional technology partnerships. Management indicated that the rollout of the AetherPod™ VG100 represents the initial stage of a broader, long-term AI infrastructure strategy focused on securing immediate commercial relationships and customer deployments.
