Fobi AI Inc. announced the launch of FORTRESS today, its sovereign enterprise AI platform designed to transform how organizations control and deploy artificial intelligence. The Vancouver based technology firm is expanding its strategy to address growing concerns surrounding data residency, confidentiality, and intellectual property.

As artificial intelligence moves into core operational environments, competitive advantages are shifting from basic model access to proprietary internal data. Public platforms often raise regulatory compliance issues, making it difficult to protect sensitive corporate assets. FORTRESS addresses these challenges by offering a private environment where companies can run AI models directly on their own controlled infrastructure, including on-premise setups, private cloud environments, and in-country systems.

Rob Anson, CEO of Fobi AI, explained the strategic vision behind the release. “Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming one of the most valuable layers within the modern enterprise. But the real long term value will not simply come from access to AI. It will come from combining AI with the proprietary data, knowledge and intelligence that makes every organization unique. That intelligence should not have to leave the enterprise in order to become valuable. FORTRESS gives organizations the ability to own their intelligence layer, secure their proprietary data and deploy AI on infrastructure they control. We believe sovereign AI will become increasingly important as enterprises, governments and regulated industries move from experimentation into large scale AI deployment. The companies that own their data and intelligence will own their competitive advantage.”

The platform also acts as the primary foundation for agentic enterprise automation, enabling AI systems to safely execute workflows across internal infrastructure. In addition to functioning as a standalone product, FORTRESS serves as the secure reasoning layer behind FIXYR, which is Fobi’s intelligent automation platform. By unifying these tools, businesses can move beyond basic query answering to autonomous task execution.

Uddeshya Agrawal, CTO of Fobi AI, detailed the technical foundation behind the platform. “The next evolution of enterprise AI is not simply a larger model. It is an intelligent architecture capable of securely understanding an organization’s data, systems and workflows while operating within the boundaries established by that organization. FORTRESS was designed around that requirement, combining commercially licensed models, private deployment, controlled data residency, proprietary enterprise intelligence and agentic orchestration. We have been operating this architecture internally across engineering and business operations, which has allowed us to build FORTRESS from real production requirements rather than theoretical use cases. As AI agents begin executing increasingly important enterprise workflows, the infrastructure controlling those agents and the information they access becomes mission critical. FORTRESS is designed to become that infrastructure.”

Internal testing across engineering, marketing, and operations showed that development cycles were significantly reduced, compressing months of work into days. For shareholders, the platform introduces recurring revenue opportunities as clients scale their adoption, cementing its position in the rapidly growing sovereign AI market.
