Datavault AI Inc., a provider of data monetization and real-world asset tokenization, has announced the tokenization and monetization of Available Infrastructure’s Project Qestrel. Project Qestrel represents a nationwide fleet of cybersecure, sovereign neocloud edge data centers currently deploying across the United States.
Through its patented tokenization technology and Information Data Exchange platform, Datavault AI will create and facilitate trading for Project Qestrel tokens ($QEST). These tokens grant direct access and usage rights across the network. Upon full deployment, the total tokenized value is expected to exceed $1 billion.
Originally announced on March 16, 2026, Project Qestrel involves deploying 1,000 cybersecure edge data centers across 100 major cities in over 30 states. The initiative represents nearly $5 billion in capital expenditure, with the initial phase operational by the end of 2026.
Each facility features full-stack SanQtum solutions, including zero-trust networking, quantum-resilient encryption, and high-performance compute running up to 48 GPUs per site. Co-located at telecom sites with direct fiber access, these units leverage key partnerships. Both Datavault AI and Available Infrastructure hold IBM Platinum Partner status. The first locations are live, with 30 cities coming online by early July through wireless infrastructure partner Crown Castle. Many sites will pre-integrate IBM watsonx, while others remain AI-agnostic.
This initiative expands on Datavault AI’s existing deployment of Available’s fleet in the New York and Philadelphia corridors.
Nathaniel T. Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, emphasized the scope of the project, stating, “Project Qestrel is the most strategically important edge AI infrastructure deployment in the United States today. This represents America’s fourth major technology infrastructure network, purpose-built for the edge AI era. We have the enterprise solution to access super compute and AI infrastructure that is in the highest demand from our customers throughout the United States.”
Dan Gregory, CEO of Available Infrastructure, highlighted the commercial value, remarking, “Datavault AI’s tokenization and exchange capabilities create valuable new ways for us to monetize, and our customers to access the compute capacity for, the Project Qestrel fleet. With demand for edge AI capability soaring and outpacing the overall market’s current edge capacity, the $QEST token provides a crucial way for enterprises to reserve and access capacity on the Qestrel network. The tokenization approach offers the added benefit of a tradeable, liquid asset that further supports enterprises’ investments in their respective AI strategies.”
Industry experts also note the shift. Greg Corlis, KPMG Partner for Emerging Technologies, observed, “Edge computing is not an entirely new concept; however, this may be the first time we are actually getting it right, with Available Infrastructure unleashing significant business value and high-value compute use cases for both commercial and public sectors.”
Key features include GPU capacity access, quantum-resilient security, real-time data scoring, and institutional custody. Initial token offerings launch in the third quarter of 2026, with secondary market trading following shortly after. Revenue will be split equally between the two companies.
